# Prerequisites

In order to deploy a RegattaDB cluster, ensure the following requirements are met on all nodes that are designated for the cluster deployment:

1. **Operating system:** Red Hat 8–based distribution such as Oracle Linux 8 or RHEL 8.10
2. **Architecture:** x86-64 (64-bit)
3. **Required system dependencies**:
   * `shadow-utils`
   * `glibc`
   * `openssl-libs`
   * `libaio`
4. **Hardware Requirements:**
   * Memory: Minimum 32 GB
   * Disk space for Regatta installation: Minimum 500 MB
   * CPU: Minimum 4 CPUs
   * Storage: At least one dedicated 350-GB block storage device (preferably NVMe or SSD) that is not the system boot device.
5. **Connectivity:**
   * Minimum 10-Gb network connection between all Regatta servers
   * Internet access for package downloads (optional)
6. **Regatta Software Requirements:**

   Download all RPMs from Regatta and make them available for distribution to the servers.
