In order to deploy a RegattaDB cluster, ensure the following requirements are met on all servers that are designated for the cluster deployment:
  1. Operating system: Red Hat 8–based distribution such as Oracle Linux 8 or RHEL 8.10
  2. Architecture: x86-64 (64-bit)
  3. Required system dependencies:
    • glibc
    • libstdc++
    • libgcc
    • util-linux-libs
    • openssl-libs
    • libaio
    • jemalloc (recommended)
  4. Hardware Requirements:
    • Memory: Minimum 32 GB
    • Disk space for Regatta installation: Minimum 500 MB
    • CPU: Minimum 4 CPUs
    • Storage: At least one dedicated 350-GB block storage device (preferably NVMe or SSD) that is not the system boot device
  5. Connectivity:
    • Minimum 10-Gb network connection between all Regatta servers
    • Internet access for package downloads (optional)
  6. RegattaDB Software:
    Obtain the RegattaDB software package and ensure it is available on all servers designated for the deployment
    If you are using the Regatta Deployment Tool (RDT), the software package only needs to be available on the server where the RDT is executed. The RDT automatically distributes the required RPM packages to the remaining servers.
